During the early morning hours of June 29th, 2014, Airdrie RCMP officers responded to an Airdrie home after receiving reports that a woman had been sexually assaulted by a man who had broken into the residence.
Cst. J Curtis of the Airdrie RCMP says the suspect, an unknown man, broke into a home where a group of young women were staying. One of the women had fallen asleep on the couch on the main floor while the others were asleep upstairs.
Curtis says the suspect “approached the female on the couch as she woke up, lifted her shirt and forcefully touched her breast”. The woman fought the suspect who then fled the home out the back door.
The woman was not injured in the attack.
The suspect is described as a caucasian man in his mid to late 30′s, possibly early 40′s. He has short, dark hair and a short build. The man is between 5’10″ to 6′ tall with a thin build.
