3.4 Kg of pot brownies seized at Coutts
Two travellers have been arrested for smuggling after CBSA officers allegedly found and seized hundreds of marijuana brownies when the duo attempted to cross the border into Canada at Coutts.
On June 24, Lisa White of the CBSA says Coutts border officers seized approximately 200 brownies laced with pot along with 1.5 grams of marijuana from two returning travellers.
White says the pot brownies seized at Coutts were discovered during a secondary examination of the vehicle. Officers found 3.4 Kg of pot brownies wrapped in two bags, each containing 100 individually wrapped brownies.
The two were arrested for smuggling and have been turned over to the Milk River RCMP. They are scheduled to appear in Lethbridge Provincial Court on September 18.
